In an industry where "good enough" is the norm, we chose a different path.
Every member of the Moonlit Events team holds four certifications: BarSmarts (Basic and Advanced), TIPS, ServSafe, and BLS. That's not standard in our industry. Most staffing companies require one, maybe two. Some require none.
So why do we go further?
Because the moment someone needs help — real help — is not the moment to discover your team isn't ready. We've seen it: a guest with an allergic reaction, a patron who's had too much and doesn't know it, a medical emergency at a festival with 30,000 people.
In those moments, certification isn't a line on a resume. It's the difference between panic and competence. Between hoping someone else handles it and knowing exactly what to do.
BarSmarts ensures our team doesn't just pour drinks — they understand spirits, technique, and the craft at a level that elevates every interaction. TIPS means every team member can identify the signs of intoxication early and intervene with dignity and skill. ServSafe protects the physical wellbeing of every guest. And BLS means if someone goes down, we don't freeze.
We don't train for the average night. We train for the worst possible moment of the best possible night. Because that's when training matters most.
This is what we mean by "the invisible architecture." You'll never see our certifications hanging on the wall at your event. You'll never need to ask if we're prepared. You'll just feel it — in the confidence of the service, in the seamlessness of the operation, in the peace of mind that lets you be fully present in your own celebration.
That's worth training for. Every single time.
